Course Description

In 2020, California began requiring employers to provide retirement benefits for their employees. This means many of your business clients are on the hook to implement a retirement plan into their benefits package. For businesses with more than 5 California-based employees, this deadline has already passed. The deadline for less than 5 employees is December 31, 2025.

Join this webinar to learn how to prepare clients to comply with these legal updates and gain strategies to best implement retirement benefits for qualifying California clients.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify the historical background and key provisions of 401(k) and SECURE legislation

  • Recognize the distinct criteria outlined in California’s retirement mandate for employers to know exactly how to support clients

  • Evaluate various retirement plan options to assist clients in selecting the most suitable one
